Reporting a problem

It helps if you can include:

• which app, and which version
• your iOS version
• what you were doing when the problem happened

Yearly Highlights

Where is my data stored?

On your device. There are no accounts. If you turn on iCloud sync in Settings, a copy is also kept in your own private iCloud. See the privacy policy for details.

Will my highlights survive a new phone?

Yes, if iCloud sync is on: install Highlights on the new phone, turn on iCloud sync in Settings, and your highlights come back. Without it, only an iCloud or iTunes device backup carries them over.

Can I add a highlight without knowing the exact date?

Yes. When adding a highlight, tap No date and it is filed by year alone. To bring in a batch of older entries at once, use Import past highlights in Settings. Undated highlights are grouped under “Sometime in <year>” and sort at the end of that year.

Can I search across past years?

Yes. Searching from the main screen looks through every year you have recorded, not just the current one.

How does the review scheduling work?

Cards you find easy come back less often; cards you get wrong come back sooner. You do not need to configure anything.

Can I change the daily question?

Yes. Questions can be edited, added to, or turned off in the app's settings.

Grounded

Where is my data stored?

On your device only. There are no accounts and no cloud sync. See the privacy policy for details.

Do reminders need an internet connection?

No. Reminders are scheduled on your phone, so they work offline. If one does not appear, check that notifications are allowed for Grounded in iOS Settings.
